NW Cup Downhill Mountain Bike Series Round 2
This is the second round of The NW Cup MTB Downhill series which is celebrating its 18th year of racing. Hundreds of racers from across the country flock to tackle some of the most technically demanding downhill trails to be found. Touted routinely as the premier series in the country, The NW Cup brings world-class racing with a grassroots feel. The Dry Hill Bike Park in Port Angeles is a regular race venue for this renowned downhill MTB race.
The Juan de Fuca Festival of the Arts
Experience one of the North Olympic Peninsula’s most beloved traditions at the Juan de Fuca Festival of the Arts, returning Memorial Day Weekend, May 22–24, 2026. 4th of July Celebration in Port Angeles
Spend 4th of July in Port Angeles, the largest celebration ever on the Olympic Peninsula! Pick your festival favorite events or attend all. From a Kids Zone and Hot Air Balloon rides to a parade, hot dog eating contest, apple pie baking contest, and a spectacular fireworks show over the water.
Ride the Hurricane Road Cycling Event
It’s a Pedal Power Weekend! And it only happens once a year. Dust off your road bike and head to Hurricane Ridge in the Olympic National Park to pedal the road without a car in sight to 5,200-feet at the annual Ride the Hurricane road cycling event. This is a joy ride and not a race, so enjoy the Olympic Mountain and Strait of Juan de Fuca views while you have them all to yourself. This is the only road cycling event in the nation where you ascend a mile high.

GOAT Run (Great Olympic Adventure Trail Run)

The Big Hurt
The Big Hurt is a multi-sport race in Port Angeles, Washington that includes 4 legs: mountain biking, kayaking, road biking, and a 10K run. Participants can do all 4 legs solo in the Iron Division, or as a relay team. The finish line along Port Angeles’ waterfront is a flurry of fun with a transition “party zone” where the four legs of the race all finish in one spot!
Ride the Ridge
Ride the Ridge is happening in Port Angeles, Washington this September. From the folks — and Ian! — that put on the Sea to Sound event every August, comes another must-do multi-user and cycling event tackling some of the newest accessible trails in the Olympic National Park. Participants will start at Hurricane Ridge and traverse some of the most scenic trails in the park.
Little Hurt
Little Hurt is a multi-sport event designed to expose youth from pre-K to 8th grade to competitions that include multiple sports, and to encourage participation in healthy activities. Pre-K and K will bike and run, accompanied by their parent of guardian. 1st-8th grade will row on rowing machines, run, and bike. This event takes place at Peninsula College.
PNW Fiber Arts Expo
Whether you are experienced or a novice to the fiber arts world, come to the Pacific Northwest Fiber Arts Exposition in Port Angeles, Washington on the first weekend in October every year at the Vern Burton Center for the 4th annual PNW Fiber Arts Expo. Explore the Fiber Arts by signing up for a workshop, watching free demonstrations or visiting the Marketplace. Entry to the Marketplace is free to everyone.
The Dungeness Crab Festival
Join the fun at the annual Dungeness Crab Festival (known as CrabFest!) in Port Angeles, Washington — one of the most acclaimed food festivals in the country and in Washington state! The festival celebrates not only the aquaculture, agriculture and maritime traditions of the breathtaking Olympic Peninsula, but brings food, art, music, Native American activities, and children’s events into one spectacular 3-day event for everyone. Located on the gorgeous Port Angeles waterfront next to Olympic National Park and a short ferry ride from sparkling Victoria, British Columbia, Canada, the event celebrates the world-famous Dungeness Crab, named after the nearby village of Dungeness, and the bounty of the sea.
Olympic Peninsula Fungi Festival in Port Angeles
If you're a mushroom enthusiast or just curious, you'll not want to miss the annual Olympic Peninsula Fungi Festival happening in Port Angeles, Washington this October. The biggest mushroom festival in the PNW is a full weekend of mushy fun with excursions, workshops, presentations, live music, cooking classes, food and drink, vendors, and camping.
Salt Creek 24
Located at the Salt Creek Recreation Area in Port Angeles, Washington, runners and/or walkers will circle the park on a 1.3 mile route for 24 hours either solo or as part of a relay team. Or they can summit neighboring Striped Peak in the Last Runner Standing event. While racing, individuals will be treated to expansive views of the Strait of Juan de Fuca, towering evergreens, vivid green moss and ferns, along with a bit of World War II history!
OAT Run (Olympic Adventure Trail Run)
The OAT (Olympic Adventure Trail) Run is a 12K, half marathon, and 50K trail race on the Olympic Peninsula in Washington State. The point-to-point courses (12K and half marathon) and out-and-back (50K) take place on the singletrack along the Olympic Adventure Trail, with a post-race party at Extreme Sports Park with bonfire, hot food, beer garden and door prizes.

Ride the Winter Shuttle Up to Hurricane Ridge in Olympic National Park
Olympic Hiking Co. will once again operate their Hurricane Ridge Winter Shuttle Service this winter season operating every Saturday and Sunday, plus Monday holidays (Jan 19 and Feb 16) until March 29, 2026.
