The Lay of the Land | Native Prairies and Prarie Restoration with Scott Gremel

Discover the Olympic Peninsula’s native prairies and the importance of restoring these rare landscapes at The Lay of the Land, a new educational talk series from the North Olympic Land Trust.

This series offers an opportunity to learn more about the region’s natural environment, the landscapes that shape it, and the conservation work helping protect them!

This first session focuses on native prairies and prairie restoration, featuring Scott Gremel, the North Olympic Land Trust’s Land Manager and a former Olympic National Park wildlife biologist with 30 years of experience caring for the Peninsula’s landscapes. Through his work and expertise, Scott will explore the significance of native prairies and the efforts to restore these distinctive ecosystems.

Whether you’re interested in local ecology, conservation, or simply learning more about the natural places that make the Olympic Peninsula special, this talk offers a chance to deepen your understanding of the region’s landscapes and the work being done to care for them.

The presentation is free and takes place November 10th from 5:30 to 6:30 PM at The Pine & Eight in Port Angeles.

LOCATION: THE PINE AND EIGHT
