Salmon Stroll with North Olympic Land Trust and Olympic National Park

For the North Olympic Land Trust’s September Stroll, they will be hiking from the Madison Falls for 2.45 Miles to the Altair Campground – with an optional excursion to the old dam removal site (an additional 1 mile).

For this stroll, the Land Trust is partnering with their Fish Biologist friends from Olympic National Park. Team member Henry Gould will be spearheading the journey up the Elwha River. Gould regularly surveys salmon populations in this section of river for the Park and will be guiding everyone through the salmon ecology and history of the Elwha.

Everyone will be hitting the trails early on the Second Saturday in September (the 12th), road snacks will be provided by the Land Trust! This event is weather-dependent. Please bring a full water bottle (or two) and be sure to dress for the weather and uneven terrain.
