Celebrate 4th of July in Port Angeles Washington on the City Pier with a Festival

Spend 4th of July in Port Angeles, the largest celebration ever on the Olympic Peninsula! Pick your festival favorite events or attend all. From a Kids Zone and Hot Air Balloon rides to a parade, hot dog eating contest, apple pie baking contest, and a spectacular fireworks show over the water.
2025 4th of July Schedule
9:00 AM: Pickleball Tournament $10 entry fee. Join us at Port Angeles Wharf for a serious game of pickleball to win cash prizes. Register at 8:30AM.
9:00 AM-12 PM and 2:00 – 5PM: Hot air balloon rides at Pebble Beach Park in front of Field Hall.
11:00 AM: Deliver your homemade apple pies next to the judges at 11 AM for a chance to win the Apple Pie Baking Contest. Drop your pies off at the Port Angeles Wharf, next to the Port Angeles Visitor Center.
11:00 AM – 2:00 PM: Compete in the Cornhole and Corndogs Tournament at the 121. W. Front St (next to Bourbon West and across from Odyssey Books). Pre-registration is recommended. Watch the action!
12:00-5:00 PM: Take the kids to the Kids Zone with tons of free activities for the family from noon to 5pm at the City Pier. Head to the Gateway Center (corner of Front St. and Lincoln St.) to play laser tag and more.
1:00-10:00 PM: Grab a cold one in the beer garden at the City Pier in between events
2:00 -3:00 PM: Uncle Sam’s Hot Dog Eating Contest at the City Pier with cash prizes! Register at the event 30 minutes before the contest begins!
3:00-5:oo PM: U.S. Army Band Concert at Field Hall.
3:00-5:00 PM: Check out the Lawnmower Derby in downtown Port Angeles at 121 W Front Street (next to Bourbon West and across from Odyssey Books). The Lawnmower Derby will last two hours and will consist of two or more qualifying heats and final heat. For entry info and rules and regulations, contact Larry at huntinglarry@hotmail.com
4:00-6:00 PM: Live music on the City Pier with the Buck Ellard Band concert
6:00 PM: 4th of July Parade. Watch the floats and cheer them on as they make their way throughout downtown Port Angeles. See the map below for the parade route.
8:00 – 10:00 PM: BARRADUCA live in concert
Sadly, there will not be a fireworks this year due to having no barge. But the fireworks will be back in 2026!
