The Rail, a breakfast-and-burger-and-bar joint, is the “younger brother” restaurant of the famous Barhop Brewing and Artisan Pizza restaurant along the waterfront in downtown Port Angeles. The Rail gets its name from the historic railroad that once existed on Railroad Avenue and a bar rail.
The Rail’s tasty specialties include an assortment of breakfast items (served all day), burgers, beer, and signature cocktails. Order a Monte Cristo sandwich to-go or stay for the Breakfast Poutine which is a sausage and gravy fest smothered on a bed of tater tots. Their “finger salads” (Cobb and Avocado BLT) make eating healthy on the run possible if you’re trying to catch the ferry to Victoria, B.C. across the way.
Cocktails range from fruity — like a Blueberry Lavender Mojito — to a sweet-meets-sour “Penicillin” featuring a muddled mix of lemon and ginger and Johnny Walker Red. You’ll find an assortment of wine, a Mimosa flight, bloody marys, as well as the best beer in Port Angeles brewed by Barhop Brewing.
Open seasonal hours through winter: Thursday-Sunday 11 am-10 pm. Kid-friendly with a kids menu for those 12 and under.
